Welcome to Furry Friends Academy Kitty Condos
Welcome to the Cat Room or as it is lovingly called “The Fish Bowl”.
Our feline guests will stay among the bright goldfish and fish bowls that cover
the walls in our Cat Room.
Our cat condos feature two platforms above the main floor so our guests can
curl up on high and watch all the activities. Each condo includes its own litter
box.
The Cat Room adjoins the reception area with a large glass window so the
reception staff and visitors can keep an eye on these special guests. Our staff
and visitors may also be watched by some feline eyes...
Our Cat Condos and the Cat Room are clean with odor controlled.
Litter boxes are cleaned a minimum of one to two times daily and any mistakes
are cleaned immediately.
The Cat Room is mopped as needed and several times per week depending upon
the guest population.
Indoor climate is controlled, well lit and well designed to support the needs of our guests.
Besides central heat and air, industrial ceiling fans are used to keep the air fresh
and moving throughout Furry Friends Academy.
The use of glass windows and doors and Dutch-doors provides an open feeling.
This also allows staff to see how our guests are doing without the disruption
caused by physically walking through the area.
Furry Friends Academy encourages owners to make your pet feel at home during their stay.
You are encouraged to bring your cat’s favorite bed or blanket and favorite toy
as this helps reduce the separation anxiety that pets often experience when they
are away from you and their home.
We also strongly encourage owner’s to bring your cat’s food and feeding
instructions so there is as little disruption to your pet’s normal routine as possible.
This is also important because most pets require time for their systems to adjust
to different food and you hate to add this factor when they are already anxious
about new surroundings.
Furry Friends Academy provides clean and safe food and water bowls for each of our guests.
Furry Friends provides the bowls for food and water and we believe in keeping
the water available for our guests at all times unless there is a physical limitation.
Staff plays with cats several times per day.
The reception staff love to have kitty cats on their laps as they enter computer
data or answer the phone. With the Cat Room next door to Reception, it is easy to
quickly put the furry friend up if other guests arrive.
The Cat Room is spacious with room for us to let our guests out of their kennels
for playtime with staff and lots of toys to keep them stimulated and entertained!
Staff is on the premises 24 hours, seven days a week if we have even one guest!
This is a commitment we make because we would want this for our pets and we
believe this approach offers the quality of care we want Furry Friends Academy
to represent.
